Why do some burning candles emit a scent, while others do not despite the fact they are scented?
Q: Some candles smell nice when not lit, but when you light them, you smell nothing, while other emit a scent when burning. Is there a way to know the difference?
A: Because the wax and fragrance oil used are cheap and don’t have a good scent throw. There might not be very much FO in the candle, either. Aside from the glass container, Fragrance oil is the most expensive ingredient in a candle.
If you want really strong smelling candles, you can make your own. That way you can adjust the amount of oil used.
