Is it cheaper to make your own candles?
Question:
I have been looking into candle making and I have noticed that the price of buying wax and the price of candles that amount of wax would make isn’t that different. Is it really cheaper to make your own candles?
Can anyone suggest any good sites to buy wax from at a more significant discount so that it is cheaper to make your own than to buy them?

@Tori, were you getting your candle making supplies at Michael’s or some craft store like that? If so, then absolutely it will cost you a lot on money. I wrote on ebook on how to make your own Mia Bella style candles. Same type of wax and everything. Believe me, it’s way cheaper to make your own. You can buy 10 pounds of makes and make tons of candles for less than the price of a Mia Bella candle. Plus, you can make them in the scents you want, not what some company only makes available to select from. Learn how to make your own gourmet scented candles.
I found that it was better to just buy Mia Bella’s candles at a 50% discount as a distributor. I tried making candles for awhile and the cost and the time involved wasn’t worth the effort. The candles I buy are better and cost no more than it cost me to make candles and I don’t spend all of my time making them.
If you enjoy the process as a hobby that’s fine, but if you have other things you want to do with your time, I would just buy them.
By the way, I also tried making candles with crayons and they make a smokey mess when they burn!
