How do I make stronger scented candles?

I just made my first candles and the scent isn’t very strong after it has set. I used an ounce of fragrance, it only called for half an ounce. How do i make the scent stronger?

1) You have to allow the candles to cure so the FO bonds with the wax. I let mine sit a good 2-3 weeks.
2) Some FO just isn’t as strong as others.
3) Some wax cannot hold a lot of FO. Paraffin is one of them.
4) Some wax may have a cold scent throw, but no hot scent throw. I find soy wax doesn’t always have a strong hot scent throw. I have candles I made with soy that smell good unlit, but have no scent at all when burned.
5) Palm wax is the best at both cold and hot scent throw. I like Granite Palm container wax the best. Have you ever tried making candles with palm wax?
