Has anyone ever made wood wick candles?
Question:
If so, where did you purchase your wood wicks? Or did you make them yourself? Any other tips would be appreciated. I received a wood wick candle as a gift and I would like to try to make them for myself. Thanks!

I make candles with both soy and palm, but I’ve never used wooden wicks. From what I can gather, you would use a soft wax like soy. I’m pretty sure the wood is balsa that’s been compressed. It crackles when it burns. Sounds like a little fireplace. I would think wood would smoke, but apparently they are clean burning.
